In short
The radiology department at Sreshta Multi Speciality Hospitals provides digital X-ray, ultrasound, colour doppler and pregnancy scanning on site. Dr. P. Abhilash, a senior consultant radiologist with an MD in Radiodiagnosis, reports studies personally, and reports for routine work are generally available the same day.
A scan is only as useful as the person reading it. Machines are broadly similar across hospitals. What differs is whether a consultant radiologist sits with the images and correlates them against your history, or whether a report gets generated from a standard template.
Dr. Abhilash reports here in person, which also means your treating doctor can walk over and look at the images with him. That conversation catches things a written report alone would not.

Radiology, answered
For routine scans, usually within the same visit or later the same day. Studies that need correlation with earlier imaging may take a little longer, and you will be told at the time.
For an abdominal scan, yes, normally six to eight hours with no food, though water is allowed. For a pelvic scan you are often asked to come with a full bladder instead. The exact preparation is explained when you book.
Yes. Ultrasound uses sound waves and not radiation, and obstetric scanning has been in routine use for decades without evidence of harm to the baby.
