Rajeev Reddy, a senior general physician and diabetologist with an MD in General Medicine, runs the department along with the medical intensive care unit.

General Medicine, answered
Once stable, every three months with an HbA1c test. If the sugars are not yet controlled or medication has recently changed, sooner. A full complication screening covering eyes, kidneys, feet and nerves should be done once a year.
Yes. There are packages for adults, for people over sixty and for pre employment screening. Each includes blood work, an ECG and a physician consultation to explain what the numbers actually mean.
Yes. Diagnosis, platelet monitoring and inpatient care are all handled here, including admission to a monitored bed if the platelet count drops or you cannot keep fluids down.
